7-solenoid A340E transmission control
This is latest A340E generation. It was installed on JDM Aristo 2JZ-GTE (161), Crown 1JZ-GTE (171) and Supra (vvti). Also known as 'tiptronic'.
3 PWM solenoids:
- SLT (line pressure control)
- SLN (accumulator backpressure control)
- SLU (converter lockup control)
All them do same function as on previous a340 generations.
4 Shift solenoids
Extra two solenoids were adopted to engage B1 and B3 brakes in tiptronic modes for engine braking.

- When lever shifts from neutral to drive, ECU temporary engage 3 gear (~1sec), then switch to 1.
- When driving car at 4 gear and push 'DOWN' button, ECU switch to 3 gear with S3 turned ON. after 1sec S3 turns off, and only S2 remain active at 3 gear.
